RECOMMENDATIONS
- Do not lift the Bolero by its collar, it can detach, thus causing an accident.
- Our wax contains rosin, a coloured, natural product, which might cause the colour of the wax to vary.
- It is strongly advised to change spatula after each application. The use of a wooden tongue depressor is recommended.
PREPARATION
- Remove the safety seal and adjust the collar properly, which will be useful to rest your spatula during the application of the wax. It will also keep the container clean without wax overflowing.
- It can be heated in the microwave: remove the cover and heat while stirring regularly and lightly until desired consistency is reached— approximately 2 minutes.
- Wax-heaters can also be used at maximum heat (10–15 minutes) until fluid consistency. See: Application Temperature.
- Once the desired consistency is reached, lower the thermostat to maintain the fluid texture, and so that it is not too hot for the client’s skin.
- It is suggested to cover the bolero and reduce the temperature to its minimum while not in use for a long period of time, so as to slow down the evaporation of essential oils.
APPLICATION PROTOCOL
- Clean the area with the Purifying Blue Lotion by Cirépil.
- Using a disposable spatula, spread a thin layer of strip wax following the direction of hair growth.
- Cover this layer of wax with a cotton or pelon strip and rub lightly so that there is adhesion to the strip.
- Keep the skin taut with your free hand. Request assistance from your client to stretch the skin as needed.
- Hold one end of the strip and pull in the direction opposite of the hair growth, parallel to the skin so as not to cause bruising.
- Once hair removal is complete, apply the appropriate post depilatory product to reduce redness.
- You can clean your work area (instruments, table and others) with Zestasol.
WARNING
Exposure to the sun and/or tanning bed, before and/or after hair removal is not recommended. Skin sensitized by UV rays will be much more prone to burns. If your client has a special occasion coming up, plan on waxing the day before.
In the presence of a lesion on the skin, irritated or burned skin, on warts, grains beauty, eyelashes or nipples, waxing is not recommended. People who suffer from diabetes or who are on medication should seek the advice of a physician. After hair removal it is possible to see redness or feel tingling on the skin. These reactions will disappear after a few hours—the use of a post-depilatory product will decrease these reactions. During the first depilation, it is recommended to do an allergy test (on a small region) and wait 10 minutes before continuing. Do not use on damaged skin. Do not use on mucous membranes.
