PREempt™ HLD5 is a high le vel disinfectant and sterilant for processing heat sensitive semi-critical and critical  tools and instruments for  which heat sterilization is not suitable.

PREempt™ HLD5 is powered by the patented Accelerated Hydrogen Per  oxide® (AHP®) Technology. AHP is a synergistic blend of commonly used, safe ingredients that when combined with hydrogen peroxide forms a powerful disinfectant. This ensures that high level disinfection and sterilization  can be achieved in realistic contact times while offering unparalleled user safety.

Virucidal: 5 Min.

  • Poliovirus, Sabin strain type 1 (ATCC   VR-192), which allows for a Broad-Spectrum Virucide claim against most enveloped and non-enveloped viruses.

Bactericidal: 5 Min.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

High Level Disinfection:

  1. Place pre-cleaned, rinsed and dried devices and instruments in solution of undiluted
  2. PREempt™ HLD5™
  3. Allow instruments to soak for at least 5 minutes.
  4. Remove and rinse with sterile water or potable tap water.

Sterilization:

  1. Place pre-cleaned, rinsed and dried instruments in solution of undiluted PREempt™ HLD5™.
  2. Allow instruments to soak for at least 6 hours.
  3. Remove and rinse with sterile water.

AHP2 TEST STRIPS

  • AHP2 Indicator Strips were designed specifically for use with PREempt™ HLD5™ to indicate the correct concentration of active.
  • The Hydrogen Peroxide concentration of PREempt™ HLD5™ solution during its reuse life can be verified by the 2% AHP® test strip (Part No. AHP2).
  • PREempt™ HLD5™ solution may be reused for up to a maximum of 14 days provided the 2% AHP® test strip indicates a pass according to the instructions.
